James Wallace

James Wallace completed his law degree at the University of Newcastle in 1998 and was admitted as a solicitor in 1999. He has practised continuously across the Hunter and Newcastle regions, working in firms in Singleton and Toronto before joining Ramsland Laidler.

With over 20 years' diverse experience, James now focuses primarily on family law and Local Court criminal matters. He is highly active in the Newcastle family law community, having served as President and Treasurer of the Hunter Valley Family Law Practitioners Association for over 15 years. James also contributes to the education of family lawyers, particularly in advocacy and court preparation.

Outside of his legal practice, James is a keen sportsman and continues to play high-level cricket in the Newcastle District Cricket Association.
