Chris Watsford

Chris is a proud Novocastrian with 25 years of experience in the NSW criminal justice system. He began his legal career as a Police Prosecutor, serving in Newcastle, Sydney and various regional locations. He later rose to the rank of Senior Sergeant, managing complex prosecutions and coronial inquests across the Hunter region.

 

In 2011, Chris joined the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, where he worked as a senior solicitor and later as the Managing Solicitor of both the Parramatta and Newcastle offices. He prosecuted serious criminal matters in the Local, District and Supreme Courts.

 

Chris brings unmatched insight into police procedures, investigative methodology and the prosecution process, giving clients a significant advantage in preparing a strong defence. His extensive court experience ensures that clients feel confident their matter is in capable hands
